Show your love for migratory fish

Migratory fish, such as European eel, salmon and sturgeon, need your help. In order to reproduce, they migrate from and to the sea via rivers. During their journey, they bump into all kinds of barriers, such as dams, sluices and pump stations. In the build up for World Fish Migration Day on October 24th* many organizations are creating awareness about the importance of free flowing rivers for migratory fish.

Due to the coronacrisis, the approach is a bit different than usual. This year, you can show your love for migratory fish via an online Eurofishion Songcontest. Everyone can take part! Make a short music video devoted to showing your love for eel or other migratory fish species. You can do it on your own, or as a girl band or boy band. Several entries have already been posted on the Eurofishion Songcontest website. Upload your video before October 15th.

Are you hesitant to sing, but still want to contribute by voting for the best song? Online voting starts May 16th and the winner will be announced on October 24th. Show how your #LoveFlows for migratory fish and rivers and upload your video. The Good Fish Foundation will share a selection of the best videos on its online channels.

The Eurofishion Songcontest is an initiative of the World Fish Migration Foundation. Good Fish Foundation is a partner of both Eurofishion and the World Fish Migration Foundation.

*Because of the corona crisis World Fish Migration Day has been postponed from May 16th to October 24th.
