Carp

The European carp is a large fresh water fish that can live up to a very old age in the wild, up to 40 years. This species can reach a length of 120 centimetres and are native to Europe and Asia. The European carp can be characterised by four barbels near its mouth. This species is not a popular species for consumption in the Netherlands.
