The ASC ecolabel can be found on fish products that have been responsibly farmed. ASC (Aquaculture Stewardship Council) is an independent, international non-profit organisation. The organisation was founded in 2009 by WWF and the Sustainable Trade Initiative.
ASC manages and develops the certification programme for responsibly farmed fish. Fish farms with this quality mark have demonstrated that they understand the need to respect nature and local communities and provide good working conditions for employees.
